Q: Can I use a selenium toner on a print that has been brightened with Sprint’s END RUN Print Brightener?
Our recommendation is to use the print brightener as a final step, however we know of no reason that a print so treated could not be then toned. Many papers have UV brighteners incorporated in them to start and that has no effect on toning. There is a possibility that some of the brightener may be washed out if the print is washed for an extended time, but if a normal wash sequence is followed, there should not be a problem.
